GutGuide has been issued a patent FI 126711 B regarding ”Evaluating the health risks of serotonin deficiency”. The invention is based on the observed correlation between serotonin levels and gut microbiota, especially between the balance of bifidobacteria and clostridia and their abundance in the human gut. The patent protects GutGuide´s GutIndex -analysis, which enables GutGuide to research the balance between bacterial species in the gut and observe the efficacy of different treatments on bacterial species.
The GutGuide team eagerly pursues researching the correlations between different syndromes and gut microbiota.
